MPH Stack Charged Aluminum Melting Furnaces
Lindberg/MPH
has combined the conventional reverberatory melting holding furnace
with the energy efficiency of the stack meIter. This furnace was designed
to provide the most versatility and energy efficiency for the customer.
Energy consumption as low as 1000 BTU/lb. has been recorded.
The Stack melt zone may be operated independently for melting large
scrap utilizing normally lost flue gases to assist in the efficient
and economic melting of returns. The furnace may also be used in
the conventional reverberatory mode utilizing the wet bath zone
for preheating and melting of sow and ingot bundles on the pre-heat
hearth and proportional firing to maintain precise process temperature
control in reverb for consistent high quality castings. For maximum
capability both zones may be operated simultaneously. The furnace
may also be furnished with the stack portion and a separately controlled
hold zone only. The stack melter's space-efficient design is excellent
for areas with space limitations and frequent alloy changes. It
comes in standard melting ranges from 1000 lbs./hour up to 5,000
lbs./hr, with an estimated fuel consumption production as low as
1,000 BTU/lb. Now available in modular form allowing retrofit of stack to
existing furnace. |
