MPH Gas Fired Immersion Tube Zinc Melting
Furnace
Immersion heated furnaces provide the most efficient and inexpensive
method of melting zinc to maintain the alloy integrity. Lindberg/MPH
gas fired furnaces are refractory lined so there's no pot replacement
or iron pickup.
One unit can replace several pot furnaces as well as
dramatically reduce the number of BTUs required per pound to melt
the zinc. Compared to conventional pot furnaces, our Zinc Melting
Furnaces can help you save 50% in energy costs. Productivity also
increases due to near-direct heat transmission and use of combustion
gases. Available in sizes for small die casters to over 300,000-lb
units for alloyers.
In fact, Lindberg/MPH manufactured and delivered what is believed
to be the world's largest immersion zinc alloying furnace. With
a capacity of 372,000 lbs., it alloys more than 225,000 lbs. on
a one-shift operation.
