Gantry Line Furnace
Lindberg gantry furnaces are used extensively in the aerospace industry
for heat-treating landing gears and other components. Lindberg gantry
furnaces are easy to operate and are available in a wide range of sizes.
The gantry lifts the part to be treated by a hook system and positions
the part in the furnace and holds it in suspension during the heating
process. The electric RO (rod-overbend) heating elements used can reach
temperatures up to 1850°F. within endothermic, exothermic, or nitrogen
atmospheres. From the heated furnace, the gantry then travels to various
stations such as a quench tank, washer, and dryer to complete the treating
process. Hook system and gantry movement can be furnished as manually
operated or fully automatic.
The furnace, along with its companion equipment, enables you to harden,
quench – and atmosphere quench, wash, and temper efficiently and
economically.
